A new life begins with strong building foundations
The turbo engine that has driven the Sarfati company forward for over forty years is based on the values of “assurance” of seeing the other and attentiveness to the human aspect – both for customers and employees of the company. Add to this taking full responsibility for the entire construction and sales process, providing sensitive assistance and guidance throughout the entire process, and as Shimon Sarfati says – “always having your finger on the pulse, keeping up to date with new construction and management methods, looking for new technologies, ensuring financial stability and never thinking that you know everything” – all of these have made Sarfati an extraordinary success in every possible sense.
When Shimon Sarfati immigrated to Israel from Morocco, he brought with him his ten fingers, a strong belief in his abilities and skills, and the values of giving and reciprocity, which he instilled in his parents’ home. His great spirit is one he forged all on his own, and it continues to accompany him and the hundreds of thousands of families who have lived in safe, warm homes for over forty years.
Shimon’s dream was to build a new life. A life built on the right foundations, with walls of strong faith and large rooms, where his heart would expand and his children would rejoice. But Shimon’s dream wasn’t just for himself – but for others. Especially for others.
Leveraging the past for the benefit of tomorrow
In the 1970s, Shimon began building his new life as a neighborhood renovation contractor, during which he transformed dozens of neglected neighborhoods into thriving, safe and pleasant places to live and raise children.
In 1982, with experience, knowledge and exceptional reliability, Shimon also began building public institutions, as part of the Ministry of Housing and Construction’s neighborhood renovations.
In the 1990s, with the great need of immigrants from the Soviet Union to build a new life in the Land of Israel, there was a demand for entrepreneurship in residential projects in Ashdod and Kiryat Gat as well. The challenge was high-quality, professional, and high-speed construction, with a focus on delivering the apartments within a year. Sarfati responded to the challenge with enthusiasm. Success was not long in coming.
In the 2000s, the company literally expanded, both in the number of construction projects for families and in the integration of family members in the company. With familial involvement, you can increase stability, gain full control over all stages of construction, and bring in additional talented employees into the family. This expansion of the company has enabled the entrepreneurship of innovative and inspiring projects in additional cities in the center of the country. In 2020, Sarfati Shimon also entered the field of entrepreneurship in such income-generating properties as: offices, commerce, employment, assisted living and hotels. At the same time, the company continued to expand with residential projects in the Dan area, Jerusalem, Bat Yam, and Be’er Sheva, and simultaneously establishing an urban renewal arm. Forty years and a new life has just begun. Our whole future is still ahead of us.
Wall-to-wall giving – building towers of joy
To expand the circle of giving, deepen the goodness in the world, and give the less fortunate an opportunity to build a new life, the Sarfati Shimon Society donates to dozens of nonprofits, openly and secretly. These nonprofits include “Simcha Layeled,” “Children at Risk,” “Elem,” “Elio-Beit Noam,” “Alu”T,” the “Manah Hama” soup kitchen, the “Greater Than Life” project, and more.
